The song was first recorded by Tommy Dorsey and His Orchestra with Edythe Wright on vocals. It has been recorded by Lena Horne, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald (duet), Shirley Bassey, The Supremes, Alice Cooper among others.
